Lecture description
Every five years, PEFC Germany reviews its standards for sustainable forest management. The aim is to improve the guidelines for the ecological, economic and social sustainability of forest management. New scientific findings and societal developments are taken into account, forward-looking areas of action are analysed, and proposals from stakeholders are incorporated. This is intended to ensure that the standard remains a valid guide for sustainable forestry in the future. The presentation summarises the standard revision process, the discussions on the individual topics and, finally, the results.
