What is the WaldWirkstatt?
The WaldWirkstatt is a new INTERFORST initiative. Launched by dedicated women and women’s networks in the forestry industry, it brings together people, ideas, and perspectives. The entire industry is invited to participate.
Together, we want to connect existing networks, share knowledge, and develop solutions for the
challenges of tomorrow. The WaldWirkstatt highlights the diverse expertise of
women in forestry and creates space for exchange, collaboration, and new ideas—even on an international level.

What to expect
A future-oriented keynote and perspectives from four networks set the stage. The following Networking Workshop focuses on key questions for the future: What will learning and knowledge exchange in the forestry sector look like in 2035? How can we inspire the next generation to pursue careers in forestry? And how can we make women in forestry more visible? Together, participants will develop new perspectives, approaches to solutions and valuable connections.

WaldWirkstatt is aimed at the entire forestry and timber industry. Participants include forest owners, forestry professionals, companies, public authorities, academia, start-ups, service providers and other people shaping the future of the industry.
Participation in WaldWirkstatt is free of charge. A valid INTERFORST ticket is required to attend the event.
The WaldWirkstatt will take place on October 18, 2026, as part of INTERFORST. Doors open at 9:15 a.m., and the program runs from 9:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. The event will be held at the East Guest Reception in the East Entrance Hall of Messe München.
Yes, registration is required to participate. Please note that the number of participants is limited to 30 people. Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so we cannot guarantee a place for everyone interested.
