MM Forsttechnik – Technology with Vision and Roots
The Mayr-Melnhof-Saurau family has been serving the forestry industry for generations. As Austria's largest private forestry company, we manage challenging, mostly mountainous forests and therefore know exactly what matters in practice.
We realized early on that conventional technology quickly reaches its limits in steep terrain. Therefore, we began developing our own, specially adapted forestry rope machines back in the 1960s. Over decades, these were tested, improved, and perfected in the tough daily operations on average slopes of over 60%.
The steadily increasing demand led to the founding of MM Forsttechnik GmbH in 2007. A company dedicated entirely to the further development and professional distribution of innovative rope technology for timber harvesting.
