Mountain forests in the Alpine region are under pressure: extreme weather events, widespread forest damage, gaps in protection, seed shortages, and limited resources call for new solutions. ARGE ALP demonstrates the unique role that public administration can play in this context: It connects regions, academia, industry, and practitioners; categorizes innovations; and uses AI, satellite data, drones, and robotics to develop concrete solutions for protective forests and the creation of climate-resilient forests. We invite you to view the Alpine region as a shared space for learning and experimentation—open to new technologies, closely aligned with practical needs, and underpinned by public responsibility.
