Lecture description
For many timber assortments, established options for material utilisation are becoming increasingly scarce. At the same time, wood is no longer used solely to produce furniture and paper or for application in construction; it is also being used to produce textiles, plastics and other innovative materials. In this session, we explore what wood-based bioeconomy means, highlight the products that are already available for use and discuss the wide-ranging potential that timber offers as a raw material for the future.
