Lecture description

“Climate change is transforming work – including in the forestry sector” – when we hear this, we tend to think first of heat or solar radiation. However, the forestry sector is increasingly grappling with the accumulation of deadwood and damaged timber. Working near deadwood or processing damaged timber is extremely dangerous and requires special attention, specific felling techniques, safety precautions, and modern technical equipment. That is why it is important that we, as prevention experts, work hand in hand with researchers, educators, and business owners to address even the latest challenges posed by climate change and thus ensure safe and healthy timber harvesting in the forests of the future.
