Thomas Wehner

Thomas Wehner geb 1964, gelernter KFZ-Techniker und anschließend studierter Forstwissenschaftler an der Universität Freiburg. Branchenexperte mit langjähriger Erfahrung in der Forstwirtschaft im Speziellen der Forsttechnik und forstlichen Verfahren / Technikfolgenabschätzung sowie im Veranstaltungs- und Netzwerkmanagement der Agrar- und Forstbranche. Aktuell leitet er den Bereich Forstwirtschaft der DLG und verantwortet dort zugleich die Projektleitung der DLG-Waldtage. Berufliche Stationen bei FVA Baden-Württemberg, Vertrieb und Marketing beim Forstmaschinenhersteller HSM, Ressortleiter Marketing im KWF e.V. Groß Umstadt, Vertriebsleiter bei Komatsu Forest und heute Bereichsleiter für Forstwirtschaft an der Deutschen Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft (DLG). Bei der DLG setzt sich Thomas Wehner u.a. über intensive Netzwerkarbeit für eine interdiziplinäre, nachhaltige, wirtschaftlich und technologisch zukunftsfähige Forstwirtschaft ein.----- Thomas Wehner, born in 1964, is a trained automotive technician who went on to study forestry at the University of Freiburg. He is an industry expert with many years of experience in forestry, particularly in forestry technology and forestry practices/technology impact assessment, as well as in event and network management within the agricultural and forestry sectors. He currently heads the Forestry Division at the DLG and is also responsible for project management of the DLG Forest Days. Previous positions include roles at FVA Baden-Württemberg, sales and marketing at forestry machinery manufacturer HSM, department head at KWF e.V. in Groß Umstadt, sales manager at Komatsu Forest and currently division head for forestry at the German Agricultural Society (DLG). At the DLG, Thomas Wehner advocates for an interdisciplinary, sustainable, and economically and technologically viable forestry sector through intensive networking and other efforts.
