Wednesday: Vocational competition with apprentices of the Bavarian State Forests. The trainees will compete against each other in the disciplines of chain fitting, bucking by combined cuts, precision bucking and open-face cutting.
Thursday:* Comparative competition in all disciplines (chain fitting, bucking by combined cuts, precision bucking, limbing and felling) of various national teams, among others from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The competition is also the final assessment event on the fitness of the best European competitors for the upcoming World Championship in Norway.
Friday to Sunday: Bavarian Logging Regional Championship with around 100 participants from Germany and Europe.

Flying wood chippings and lots of action awaits you at the STIHL TIMBERSPORTS ® shows. Be there live when Germany’s top athletes grab their razor-sharp axes and powerful chainsaws to present the spectacular disciplines of the premier league in lumberjack sports. Under professional guidance of the athletes, anyone interested will have the opportunity to test their own talent on a two-meter hand saw, the so-called single buck.

dlv Deutscher Landwirtschaftsverlag
On the campaign area "forest practice special" in the outdoor exhibition area FS.908A/1 of the dlv – German Agricultural Publishing House –, the results of a comparative test with four different firewood processors will be presented live. The demonstrations with commentator will take place five times a day. Following the demonstrations, spectators will have the opportunity for discussions with the dlv editors on site.

The forestry entrepreneurs associations from Germany, Austria and Switzerland, together with the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber and Forst-Holz Papier Österreich (Forest-Wood-Paper Austria) will be dealing with the topic of education and on-the-job training. In addition to lots of free information and valuable tips, visitors will have the possibility to try their hand on a harvester simulator. The objective is to inspire and motivate young people for the varied and state-of-the-art work in the forest.
